Description
A question prompted by Andrew's issues this morning .... when we change certain "known" values for our instruments .. say the attenuation tables .. how does that get propogated to somebody (like me:-) using an older version of the reduction on their computer? Not sure what/if the answer might be, but thought it worth thinking about? Perhaps something like the virus data files where you can make dated versions of those available for import (with an appropriate "import update" button or something?) Ok .. more like the linksys upgrade button than virus software perhaps..

Don't know about this. Maybe we can have a button on the preferences panel that "dumps" the current hard-wired parameters (whatever they are...) and when they were updated. Not sure how to do this, but it's important to do for the reasons above.
Not sure how a user will be able to figure out if they're up-to-date, other than to check for new version of the macros.
