Can this be done?

Can I have a protocol that runs at the update interval rather than just a simple average? At the very least, it will add to SAM (for the solid angle) and correct with DIV.

Complications are that the DisplayType? is "RealTime?", and any change to this will break the updating. Can I pause the updating to execute the protocol? Must keep the curDisplayType up-to-date, as the averaging operates on the curDisplaytype.

some issues to think about, but this would be nice.
