Adding files together in Multiple Reduction

Description

Currently, if two RAW data files are to be added together for better statistics, this can only be done through the Protocol Panel. There, anything in the files lists are autimatically added together and treated as a single file. Works great for EMP and BGD and the occasional SAM file. In the MRED panel, the list of run number is always parsed to a list of individual files

is this something that really needs to be done?
if so, a "+" sign could possibly be used for input
not sure how this would change the internal workings of MRED
not sure if there's a fundamental reason why I didn't do this before when I wrote the parser.

As a consequence of the MRED being essentially a script processing a list of (individual) data files, it is really impossible to modify it to add files together. MRED calls ExecuteProtocol?() with each list item, and has no way of knowing that there are multiple files in each item. All list processing routines are expecting comma-delimited lists of file names. If the protocol panel sees a comma delimited list, it correctly treats it as one file, and adds the files together. Changing the behavior of the parser to return something else for the case of added files would require a re-definition of parser output format - and wreck a lot of things...

Added files have always been saved in protocols (EMP, BGD). Adding SAM files together must still be done on an individual basis through the protocol panel.
