Description
This would be a nice feature to allow the "experiment" to happen on paper beforehand to be sure that the signal is strong enough, that the He cell polarization is sufficient, Flippers are sufficient, and the counting time is sufficient.
But talk to JaeHie? about the simulation and calculation of these things. If I could write a model function for this, I could do the simulation, but overall, I'm still not sure how to do 2D simulations, so this may be too much to tackle for too little return.
Note: See
TracTickets for help on using
tickets.
Also talk to John about his group seminar from Nov 2009. He discussed the optimal opacity for the 3He given simple parameters such as polarizer efficiency and the relative strength of the nuclear and magnetic scattering. John probably did all of the math already. Charles Dewhurst may have some tools available too.
